Happy with what I bought, February 21, 2012 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Acer Aspire AS5749Z-4809 15.6-Inch Laptop (Gray) (Personal Computers) I just bought this laptop and have had it for about a week. I've been very happy with it so far. I'm not a super tech-y person, so I don't need all the extra bells and whistles. I just wanted something I could do my school work on and upload family pictures. It runs very smoothly, although you can hear the internal fan running when it's on. The screen is nice and bright and images are very clear. The item description says that the battery lasts up to 4 hours and I've found that to be pretty true, although I have not let it run completely out of battery life before plugging it back in to charge. It seems to work pretty fast with uploading/downloading, web browsing, the basics, etc. I bought this to replace a Dell 1525 that kept having things go wrong with it. One of the things wrong with the Dell was that the hinges broke. This Acer model seems to have pretty sturdy hinges, although the body itself, does not seem quite as sturdy as my old Dell.
